1 1/2 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 c. Hearty Beef Soup Mix
2 carrots, sliced
1-2 ribs celery, sliced
1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
30 ounce. beef broth (canned or possibly bouillon)
24 ounce. can vegetable juice
1 pound leftover, cooked meat, cut up

Directions

Or possibly 1 lb. grnd beef, browned.
Put water, salt and soup fold in a large kettle; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Add in remaining ingredients. Simmer till vegetables are cooked and done. Makes about 4 qts. Freezes well.
