Grandma Newsam's Eggless, Milkless, Butterless Cake Recipe

Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar 2 teaspoon cinnamon 2 c. warm water 4 tbsp. lard 2 c. raisins

1 teaspoon allspice 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1 teaspoon salt 3 c. flour 2 teaspoon soda

Directions

1. Boil all ingredients together except for flour and soda for 5 min. Cold. When cold, add in flour and soda; mix well and pour into a greased cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 min or possibly till it springs back when touched.
