Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 c. warm water
- 4 tbsp. lard
- 2 c. raisins
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon soda
Directions
- Boil all ingredients together except for flour and soda for 5 min. Cold. When cold, add in flour and soda; mix well and pour into a greased cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 min or possibly till it springs back when touched.
