Glazed Pear Cheese Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce.) Packages cream cheese
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 canned pear halves
  • 1 recipe Strawberry Glaze

Directions

  1. Beat cheese till light and creamy. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add in sugar and almond extract. Beat till smooth, thick and lemon colored, about 5 min. Pour into greased 9 inch pie plate. Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for 50 min. Cold 20 min. Meanwhile, beat together lowfat sour cream, 3 Tbsp. sugar and vanilla, spoon over top of pie. Return pie to oven and bake 15 min. Cold to room temperature. Place liquid removed pear halves on pie cut side down and pour Strawberry Glaze over.
