Ingredients

  • 1 env. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. light cream or possibly half & half
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 3 Large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/4 c. raisins

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in cream. Combine with half the sugar and flour; let double in size. Add in all the remaining ingredients, except the raisins and knead till smooth. Add in the raisins, while continuing to knead. Grease and sprinkle baba pan with flour. Place dough in pan; cover with a clean cloth and leave in a very hot, draft free place till doubled in size. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 min. When cold, remove from pan and drizzle with Baba Icing.
