Ingredients

  • 1 c. maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp grnd cinnamon
  • 3 lrg Large eggs
  • 1 c. half-and-half
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 6 x 1" slices cinnamon bread

Directions

  1. Bring syrup, 1 Tbsp. butter, and 1 tsp. cinnamon to boil in heavy medium saucepan. Boil 2 min.
  2. Whisk Large eggs, half-and-half, vanilla, 3 Tbsp. maple syrup mix, and remaining 1 tsp. cinnamon in bowl. Place bread slices in large baking dish. Pour egg mix over; turn to coat. Pierce bread in several places with fork. Let stand 5 min.
  3. Heat 1 Tbsp. butter in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add in bread and cook till brown, about 3 min. Add in 1 Tbsp. butter to skillet. Turn over bread and cook till brown, about 3 min. Transfer to plates. Serve with remaining syrup.
