Ingredients

  • 1 pkt Yeast, Active Dry
  • 1/4 c. ,Hot Water(110-120 degrees)
  • 1 c. Cottage Cheese, Creamed *
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Onion, Chopped
  • 1 tsp Butter, Melted
  • 1 x Egg, Large
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Dillseed
  • 2 1/4 c. Flour, Unbleached Or possibly Bread

Directions

  1. Creamed Cottage Cheese should be heated to lukewarm.
  2. Dissolve yeast in hot water.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, except add in the flour a little at a time (it may take up to 2 1/2 c. of flour). Beat till well mixed and mix is stiff but not heavy. (Standard bread dough feeling).
  4. Cover and let rise in a hot place till doubled.
  5. Punch down and put dough in a bread pan, or possibly arrange in a round shape on a greased cookie sheet. Let rise again. Bake for 30 to 45 min at 350 degrees F. While hot, bursh loaf with soft butter, sprinkle well with salt.
  6. Makes 1 loaf.
