Ingredients
- 400g Marzipan
- 4 tablespoons liquor (I used St. Germain, because it's what I had on hand, and because who doesn't like liquor made of Elderflower?)
- 200g powdered sugar
- 100g dried cherries (or cranberries)
- 56g minced pistachios
- 300g dark chocolate coating
- 100g rasped coconut

.%20%20I%20realize%20that%20this%20is%20not%20the%20most%20politically%20correct%20way%20to%20describe%20a%20dessert,%20but%20oh%20boy%20oh%20boy,%20I%20can't%20stop%20eating%20these%20once%20I've%20started.%20%20A%20few%20nights%20ago,%20I%20gave%20a%20plant%20of%20cookies%20away%20and%20the%20guy%20said%20%22these%20are%20so%20flavorful,%20you%20almost%20need%20a%20tall%20glass%20of%20milk%20to%20go%20with%20them!%22%20%20In%20my%20little%20world,%20that's%20a%20pretty%20good%20compliment!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20going%20to%20make%20a%20wild%20assumption%20and%20guess%20that%20you%20don't%20know%20Bjoern.%20%20Well,%20other%20than%20my%20parents%20and%20friends%20from%20Michigan,%20most%20of%20you%20don't%20know%20of%20his%20glory.%20%20Bjoern%20and%20I%20met%20within%20the%20first%20few%20weeks%20of%20my%20senior%20year%20at%20U%20of%20M;%20he%20was%20a%20Fulbright%20scholar%20trucked%20over%20from%20Germany%20to%20study%20naval%20architecture%20and%20marine%20engineering.%20%20Needless%20to%20say%20we%20hit%20it%20off%20very%20quickly%20and%20he%20instantly%20became%20one%20of%20my%20dearest%20friends%20(well,%20at%20least%20my%20dearest%20German%20friend,%20and%20this%20is%20a%20larger%20category%20than%20one%20might%20think!)%20%20For%20Christmas%20last%20year,%20he%20gave%20me%20a%20tin%20full%20of%20these%20bonbons%20and%20I%20have%20been%20addicted%20ever%20since.%20%20This%20was%20a%20decently%20sized%20tin,%20capable%20of%20holding%20at%20least%2020%20or%20so%20treats%20and%20I%20actually%20had%20to%20hide%20them%20from%20myself.%20%20I%20put%20them%20atop%20my%20armoire,%20made%20them%20extremely%20difficult%20to%20get%20to%20and%20they%20still%20disappeared%20in%20less%20than%205%20days.%20%20The%20ghost%20of%20Christmas%20weight%20gain%20was%20once%20again%20rearing%20her%20ugly%20head.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20you%20can%20imagine,%20I%20have%20been%20begging%20Bjoern%20for%20this%20recipe%20ever%20since%20then.%20%20He%20just%20sent%20it%20to%20me.%20%20JUST.%20%20His%20excuse%20was%20that%20the%20recipe%20was%20in%20German%20(he%20translated%20it%20for%20me)%20and%20all%20the%20measurements%20were%20metric.%20%20I%20could%20have%20worked%20with%20that;%20I%20would%20have%20MADE%20it%20work.%20%20Last%20week%20he%20sent%20me%20a%20translated%20copy%20of%20the%20recipe,%20still%20in%20metric%20but%20I%20weigh%20everything%20anyways,%20and%20I%20got%20to%20baking%20that%20night.%20%20Even%20now%20I%20have%20to%20to%20tell%20myself%20%22No,%20these%20cookies%20are%20for%20other%20people.%20%20Not%20for%20you%20to%20eat.%20%20Think%20of%20all%20the%20joy%20you'll%20bring%20people!%22%20%20Then%20I%20promptly%20eat%20one%20more.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20are%20addictively%20delicious,%20don't%20require%20turning%20on%20the%20oven%20and%20look%20pretty%20snazzy%20too!%20%20Make%20your%20neighbors%20and%20yourself%20happy%20by%20mixing%20up%20a%20batch!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECranberry%20Marzipan%20Bonbon's%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20marzipan,%20liquor%20and%20powdered%20sugar%20to%20a%20smooth%20paste%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EChop%20up%20cherries%20to%20very%20fine%20pieces%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFlatten%20marzipan%20paste%20and%20sprinkle%20pistachios%20%20and%20cherry%20pieces%20on%20top%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKnead%20the%20marzipan%20dough%20thoroughly%20and%20form%20about%2050%20little%20balls%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20the%20chocolate%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECover%20marzipan%20balls%20in%20chocolate%20and%20let%20the%20chocolate%20start%20cooling%20down%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBefore%20the%20chocolate%20hardens%20roll%20them%20in%20either%20sprinkles%20or%20coco%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EImpress%20everyone%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
