  1. Make this a day ahead and serve chilled.
  2. In a non-reactive saucepan, combine the water, orange juice and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Add in the cranberries and cook only till the skins of the berries pop. Remove pan from heat and add in orange rind. Transfer mix to a bowl and let cold to room temperature.
  3. Left-overs can be thinned with some liqueur and used as a warm sauce to spoon over frzn yogurt or possibly lb. cake.
  4. This recipe yields 3 to 4 c. of relish.
