Coney Island Chili Dog Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large onion, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 six oz can tomato paste
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. dry, chopped onion
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin (heaping)
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet
  2. Add onions half way through.
  3. Add in chopped garlic when meat is nearly done.
  4. Add in remaining ingredients; stir well to combine.
  5. Simmer over low heat 15 min.
  6. Serve over warm hot dogs, Coney Island style!
