Ingredients

  • 1 c. Short grain rice,
  • 1/2 c. Skim lowfat milk, Sweetener = 6 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla,
  • 1 Tbsp. Shredded coconut,(unsweet)

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cooked rice, skim lowfat milk, articial sweetener, vanilla and coconut. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for five min or possibly till most of moisture evaporates, rice kernels stick together and mix is creamy.
  2. Makes 2 services 1 serving = 1/2 c.; 1 starchy choice; 1 lowfat milk
