%20%20I%20wonder,%20do%20you%20know%20there%20is%20a%20Philadelphia%20NY%20too?%20%20:)%20%20There%20sure%20is.%20%20But%20its%20not%20the%20scene%20Aly%20sees%20every%20day.%20%20Its%20just%20a%20small%20little%20hokey%20town%20between%20Gouverneur%20(another%20small%20little%20hokey%20town)%20and%20the%20%22City%22%20of%20Watertown.%20%20:)%20%20Not%20that%20any%20of%20that%20means%20anything%20to%20many%20of%20you.%20%20Alas,%20I'm%20off%20topic.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20had%20some%20homemade%20cider%20that%20Dad%20had%20given%20me%20when%20I%20was%20home%20over%20Christmas%20and%20some%20Jim%20Beam%20in%20the%20liquor%20cabinet.%20%20That's%20all%20I%20needed%20(besides%20buying%20the%20ham)%20to%20make%20me%20decide%20I%20was%20going%20to%20try%20this%20recipe%20out.%20%20We%20had%20ham%20left%20over%20for%20scalloped%20potatoes,%20and%20I%20used%20the%20last%20of%20it%20up%20in%20homemade%20bean%20soup.%20%20Needless%20to%20say,%20we%20did%20not%20let%20this%20ham%20go%20to%20waste!%20I%20only%20made%20one%20change,%20and%20that%20was%20I%20went%20with%20maple%20syrup%20in%20place%20of%20brown%20sugar.%20%20Love%20how%20the%20flavors%20penetrated%20the%20ham!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20haven't%20visited%20Aly's%20blog%20yet,%20make%20sure%20its%20a%20stop%20you%20make!%20%20She%20has%20a%20great%20variety%20of%20delicious%20recipes%20on%20her%20blog!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECider%20Bourbon%20Glazed%20Ham%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFebruary-4-2013%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%C2%B0F.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELine%20your%20roasting%20pan%20with%20aluminum%20foil%20for%20easy%20cleanup.%20%20Place%20the%20ham%20in%20the%20roasting%20pan,%20cut%20side%20down.%20%20Pour%201%20cup%20of%20the%20apple%20cider%20over%20the%20ham%20and%20place%20in%20the%20oven.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20the%20ham%20roast%20in%20the%20oven%20for%2045%20minutes%20while%20you%20prepare%20the%20glaze.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20a%20stove,%20in%20a%20heavy%20bottomed%20saucepan,%20add%20the%20remaining%20cider,%20maple%20syrup,%20mustard,%20garlic%20and%20stir%20to%20combine.%20Let%20it%20come%20to%20a%20boil%20and%20then%20turn%20off%20the%20heat.%20%20Add%20the%20bourbon.%20Return%20to%20the%20heat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBring%20to%20a%20boil%20and%20reduce%20to%20a%20simmer%20until%20it%20is%20reduced%20by%20half.%20%20When%20it%20is%20reduced,%20set%20aside%20a%20small%20amount%20for%20serving.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%2045%20minutes,%20remove%20the%20ham%20from%20the%20oven%20and%20flip%20the%20ham%20so%20it%20is%20resting%20on%20its%20side.%20%20Glaze%20the%20ham%20and%20return%20to%20the%20oven,%20continuing%20to%20baste%20about%20every%2015%20%E2%80%93%2020%20minutes%20until%20the%20ham%20is%20fully%20heated%20through%20and%20the%20glaze%20has%20formed%20a%20nice%20coating.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20from%20the%20oven,%20let%20rest%20for%2010%20minutes%20and%20carve.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
