Ingredients

  • 2 c. noodles
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 c. diced cooked chicken
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 sprigs parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 c. warm chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp. chicken fat

Directions

  1. Cook noodles in 2 qts boiling water, drain. Alternate noodles, mushrooms and chicken in a well greased casserole. Sprinkle each layer with bread crumbs, chopped onions, parsley, salt and pepper. Pour warm stock over all, top with crumbs. Dot with fat. Bake uncovered in moderate oven at 350 degrees till top layer of crumbs is golden, about 30 min. Serves 6.
