Chicken Breasts Baked In Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 whl chicken breasts
  • 3 Tbsp. Shortening
  • 1/3 c. Minced onion
  • 1 x Clove (small) garlic, chopped
  • 3/4 c. Chicken broth
  • 3/4 c. Cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300. Cut chicken breasts in half crosswise, making 4 serving pcs. In heavy skillet, brown chicken in shortening till golden brown.
  2. Add in remaining ingredients. Cover tightly. Bake about 2 hrs or possibly till tender. Just before serving, remove chicken from skillet while making pan gravy. Serve with rice.
  3. Serves 4.
