Cheese and sausage Stromboli

Ingredients

  • 50 each 7 inch pizza shell
  • 6 lbs sausage pork
  • 1 lb onion spanish
  • 1 lb red peper
  • 1/2 cup garlic
  • 2 lbs mozzarella cheese
  • 2 bunch basil
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • cornmeal
  • eggwash

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix pork, onions, red peppers, garlic, cheese, basil and parsley together.
  2. Lay several thawed pizza shells on surface and place 2 ice cream scoops of mixture in center of pizza shell.
  3. Fold shell over in mixture insurign to first brush 1/2 of the shell with egg wash then seal the stromboli by turning and pinching to edges.
  4. Slice 2 holes on top of each stromboli to release steam during the cooking process.
  5. Brush top of strombolis with egg wash. Pan up on sheet pan with parshment paper and cornmeal.
  6. Cook for 30-40 min at 375 degrees F in a convection oven or 425 in a pizza oven
