Bittersweet Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/4 c. Brown sugar packed
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Plus 2 tbsp unsifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2/3 c. Walnuts or possibly pecans minced
  • 8 ounce Bittersweet chocolate

Directions

  1. For food processor method, place butter (cut up), sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla into processor bowl; process about 10 seconds. (Or possibly in a mixer, cream softened butter with same ingredients.) Stir flour with baking pwdr and salt; blend into creamed mix. Add in nuts. Chop chocolate bars into small pcs; stir into dough. Drop by rounded tsp. onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 8-10 min or possibly till light golden. Cold on racks.
  2. These cookies are delicious served hot when the chocolate is still soft.
  3. To reheat cookies in the microwave, process 2 or possibly more cookies for 15-20 seconds.
