Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. Veg. oil
  • 4 lrg Onions, sliced
  • 4 lb Stew beef, 1" inch cubes
  • 1/4 c. Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 1 x Bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 7 ounce Beer, not "lite" beer
  • 3 x Beef bouillon cubes, dissolve in 1/3 c. water

Directions

  1. Combine onions and veg. oil in removable liner. Place liner in base.
  2. Cover and cook on high 30 to 40 min or possibly till onions are soft. Coat meat with mix of flour, salt and pepper. Add in meat and all remaining ingredients to removable liner in base. Cover and cook on auto 6 hrs; or possibly low 7-9 hrs; or possibly high 4 hrs. To thicken sauce for gravy, uncover and cook on high 20 to 30 min before serving. Serve over noodles.
