Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. minced Spanish olives
  • 1/2 c. minced onions
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt, pepper, thyme
  • 3 slices Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Cut off top of loaf of bread - throw away. Scoop out white part of remaining bread and crumble. Mix all ingredients except slices of Cheddar cheese. Put back into shell, wrap in foil. Put on cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour, 350 degrees. Open foil - put sliced cheese on top. Put back in oven for 5 min till cheese has melted.
