Ingredients

  • 1 lb Navy beans
  • 1 lb Lean beef stew trimmed of fat and cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pcs
  • 2 x Onions cut into 1/2 inch pcs
  • 1 Tbsp. Minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. Chili pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Tomato paste
  • 1 lrg Tomato (1/2 lb) cut into 1/2 inch pcs

Directions

  1. Remove any stones from the beans and wash them thoroughly ina sieve. Place the beans in a pot with beef, onions, garlic,chili pwdr, salt, tomato paste, tomato and add in 6 c ofwater. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to very low and simmer2 to 2 1/2 hrs.
