Ingredients

  • 3 c. Flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 c. Shortening
  • 2 x Large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Apples, grated
  • 1/2 c. Minced nuts
  • 1/2 c. Butter, melted
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Mix flour, baking pwdr, sugar, salt, and nutmeg. Cut in shortening till mix looks like crumbs. Add in Large eggs, lowfat milk, apples, nuts and mix thoroughly.
  2. Fill well greased tiny muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 20-25 min. In a plastic bag mix sugar and cinnamon. Dip doughnut tops in butter and shake in bake to coat.
