Bacon-y Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs. frozen green beans
  • 6 bacon strips
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Cook beans according to package directions.
  2. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Remove from pan, reserving 1 tbsp. of drippings and drain on paper towel-lined plate.
  4. Sauté onions in the reserved drippings until tender. Stir in lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  5. Crumble cooked bacon.
  6. Drain beans and place in a large serving bowl. Stir in onions and bacon.
