Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Butter or possibly Margarine
  • 1/2 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Brown Sugar -- packed
  • 1/4 c. Dark Molasses
  • 1 x Egg
  • 2 1/4 c. Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tsp Ginger

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter, sugars, molasses and egg. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and ginger; add in to the creamed mix and mix well.
  2. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes (2 1/2 inches) Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 5 - 6 min or possibly till set
  3. (don't overbake). Remove from pans to cold on wire racks.
