470 Fish In White Wine

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. fresh fish
  • 3/4 c. white wine
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 1 sprig parsley, minced sprig chervil, minced
  • 1 sprig thyme, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 ounce butter, in pats

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place fish in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Mix wine with water and pour over fish. Place onion, parsley and chervil under and over fish. Add in bay leaves and thyme. Top with salt and pepper and butter. Bake 25 to 30 min or possibly till fish flakes with fork.Note: Dry herbs may be substituted for fresh.
