HootSuite implosion

With HootSuite going paid for any kind of useful functionality, what are you using to schedule your twitter and other social networking updates?

I've re-jigged everything to work around HootSuite in the meantime, but I'd like to get away from it altogether if I can.

Honestly? I do it all by hand with Bit.ly sidebar. I know it is time intensive, but I really did not like the hootsuite platform at all. I know a few folks like tweet deck but I dont have enough information to be the judge.

My blog, a wordpress one allows for automatic updates to facebook and twitter when a new post is up, so beyond that, what are you scheduling if you mind me asking?

p.s. thanks for the invite to this group! :) Will make the rounds to say hey to everyone. All the best! Alex

Sorry for the late reply (no notifications!).

I do daily tweets of things I see around - not my blog. E.g., if I see an interesting recipe or article that you wrote, but I'm not going to do a full article about it, I'd tweet it with a comment. This allows me to push content 7 days a week instead of just two or three.
