Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp chili pwdr
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/8 tsp grnd oregano

Directions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl. To prepare the meat filling for the tacos as described on the original package instructions:
  2. "In large skillet, brown 1 lb. grnd beef till crumbly; drain fat.
  3. Add in spices & seasonings and 2/3 c. water; mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil: reduce heat to low and cook, uncovered, 7 to 10 min, stirring occasionally. Spoon meat filling into warmed taco shells or possibly tortillas.
  4. Top with shredded lettuce, grated cheddar cheese and minced tomato. Use fresh salsa and guacamole if you like."
  5. Makes meat filling for 12 tacos (about 3 Tbsp. each).
  6. This is a clone for the stuff you buy in 1 oz packets to create, as the package says, "a fun-filled Mexican fiesta in min." Isn't which so true In fact, thanks to Lawry's my last Mexican fiesta was so filled with fun which I had to take a nap. And now I promise you just as much fun with this TSR clone - maybe even a tad more fun if you're lucky. Just mix the ingredients together in a small bowl, then add in it to 1 lb. of browned grnd beef, along with some water and let it simmer. Before you know it you'll be up to your eyeballs in fun.
