Ingredients

  •     Baker's Joy No Stick Spray
  • 1 pkt Devil's food cake mix (18.25 ounce)
  • 3/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 ct Lowfat cherry yogurt (8 ounce)
  • 2 whl Large eggs
  • 2 x Egg whites
  • 1/4 c. 2% lowfat lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 ct Frzn non-dairy whipped topping, thawed (8 ounce)
  • 1 can Cheery pie filling, chilled (21 ounce)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350'F. Spray two 9x2" round cake pans with BAKER'S JOY.
  2. In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix at low speed, scraping bowl, for 1 minute till blended. Mix at medium speed for 3 min, till smooth.
  3. Turn batter proportionately into prepared cake pans. Bake at 350'F. for 30-33 min till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  4. Cold on wire rack for 15 min. Release from pans; cold completely.
  5. To decorate, place on layer upside-down on large platter. With cake decorator tube or possibly spoon, circle edge of cake layer with 1 c. whipped topping. Spread 1 c. cherry pie filling within center. Spread 1 c. whipped topping over filling. Top with second cake layer. Tube or possibly spoon remaining whipped topping around outer edge. Spread center with remaining cherry filling. Refrigerateat least 1 hour before serving. Leftovers must be covered and refrigerated.
