Short Cut French Onion Soup Recipe

- Combine butter and onions in a 2 qt casserole. Cover and microwave at high for 4 min, stirring after 2 min. Stir in beef broth, 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, and grnd thyme. Cover and microwave at high 8-12 min or possibly till mix comes to a boil. Divide half of soup among 4 bowls. Top each with a slice of French bread. Pour remaining soup over bread; sprinkle with cheese. Yields 4 servings.
