President Reagan's Favorite Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb macaroni
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 x egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 c. lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Boil macaroni in water till tender and drain thoroughly. Stir in butter and egg. Mix mustard and salt with 1 Tbsp. warm water and add in to lowfat milk.
  2. Add in cheese leaving sufficient to sprinkle on top. Pour into buttered casserole; add in lowfat milk. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min or possibly till custard is set and top is crusty.
