Pickled String Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 pound yellow or possibly green beans
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. mixed pickling spices
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Wash and cook beans about 20 min or possibly till tender. Drain off all except 1 c. of juice. Add in vinegar, sugar, spices, salt and pepper. Heat thoroughly. May be packed in warm canning jars or possibly put in a dish and put in refrigerator to keep cold.
