Ingredients

  • 1 c. grated apples
  • 1 c. grated carrots
  • 1 c. grated potatoes
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 c. suet or possibly 1 c. suet & 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. currants
  • Some dates
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 c. nuts
  • 3/4 c. combined red & green cherries
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda (dissolved in fruit juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Healthy pinch of cloves
  • 1/2 pound mixed peel

Directions

  1. Mix together and steam 4 hrs.
