Melt-In-Your-Mouth Egg Nog Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks real butter
  • 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
  • 5 lg. large eggs
  • 3 c. white, granulated sugar
  • 1 sm. can evaporated lowfat milk
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon each vanilla, coconut, almond, lemon, butternut and rum flavorings
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 teaspoon all 6 flavorings used in cake

Directions

  1. Cream butter and shortening with sugar. Add in large eggs one at a time. Put together with other ingredients and mix well. Bake at 275 degrees in a greased Bundt or possibly tube pan for 1 hour 45 min. Good while hot or possibly may be frosted as follows.
  2. Mix all ingredients and pour over cake while it is still warm. This is an extra moist cake.
