Ingredients

  • 4 slc Bacon, cut into 1-inch Pcs
  • 1 med Onion, minced (about 1/2 C.)
  • 1 med Green bell pepper, minced (about 1 c.)
  • 1 pkt Uncooked elbow, (7 ounces) Macaroni
  • 1 can Condensed, (10-3/4 ounces) Tomato soup
  • 1 3/4 c. Warm water
  • 2 c. Shredded american or possibly colby Cheese, (8 ounces) Buttered bread crumbs or possibly cracker Crumbs, if you like

Directions

  1. Place bacon in 3-qt casserole. Cover loosely and microwave on high 4 to 5 min or possibly till crisp. Stir in onion, bell pepper, macaroni, soup and water. 2. Cover tightly and microwave 14 to 16 min, stirring every 4 min, till macaroni is tender. Stir in cheese till melted. Top with bread crumbs. 4 SERVINGS (ABOUT 1-1/4 C. EACH); 640 CALORIES PER SERVING.
  2. 500-watt microwave: You may need to increase microwave times.
