Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. Margarine, softened
  • 2/3 c. Sugar
  • 1/2 c. Nonfat buttermilk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 x Egg whites
  • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. Unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt Vegetable cooking spray
  • 2 tsp Sifted powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Cream margarine, add in 2/3 c. sugar, beat at medium speed of an electric mixer till blended. Add in buttermilk, vanilla, and egg whites, beat well.
  2. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; add in to creamed mix, mixing well.
  3. Drop by Tablespoonfuls 2" apart onto cookied sheets coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 7 min. Remove from pan, cold completely on wire racks. Sprinkle with powered sugar.
  4. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
