Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 2 tbsp. butter, room temperature
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tbsp. cool water
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs (oregano, thyme, marjoram, parsley, etc.)

Directions

  1. Cut shortening and butter into flour, herbs and salt with pastry blender. Sprinkle with water, stirring till a ball forms. You may not need all the water. Roll and place in pan or possibly tart c.. Use for main dishes and appetizers.
