Harvest Sweet Potato Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 c. mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Sift first 4 ingredients together into bowl. Cut in shortening till crumbly. Stir in sweet potatoes. Add in lowfat milk; mix well. Turn onto floured board. Knead lightly. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake in 475 degree oven for 12 to 15 min.
