Ground Meat Lumpia

Recipe from former neighbors who came from Phillipines. This is not American cookery but there is no option to choose "Phillipines,'

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/4 cupminced onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic and 1 stick minced celery
  • salt and pepper
  • lumpia wrappers as needed
  • 2 beaten eggs or egg whites
  • wet towel on lumpia wrappers /pastry prior to cooking

Directions

  1. Brown the ground beef and pork. Mix in other ingredients and some of the beaten egg. Wrap in lumpia wrappers and seal with some of the beaten egg. Fry in any oil you like until lightly golden . Check one for doneness, I like peanut oil.
  2. When cooled, can be put in plastic freezer bags and taken out , mickey- waved for snacks later.
