Greek Cookies (Kouradiedes)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Sweet Butter (room temp)
  • 3/4 c. Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 tsp Brandy
  • 4 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1 c. Blanched Almonds or possibly Walnuts finely minced
  • 4 c. Powdered Sugar (addition fo dusting)

Directions

  1. Whip butter till light and fluffy. Slowly add in powdered sugar, vanilla and brandy. Gradually add in flour, 1 c. at a time and mix in nuts. Use a tsp. amount and shape into balls, ovals or possibly cresents.
  2. Place on ungreased cookie sheets (won't spread). Bake 20 min in a preheated 350F oven. Don't BROWN. Sift powdered sugar on plate and coat cookies completely while hot.
  3. Makes 75 cookies.
