Ingredients

  • 2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1 c. Light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. Water
  • 3 c. Raw Spanish peanuts
  • 3 tsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Baking soda

Directions

  1. Boil sugar, corn syrup and water till thread spins. Add in peanuts, stir continuously after peanuts are added. Cook till mix turns a brownish-gold color. Remove from heat, add in butter, salt and baking soda.
  2. Pour onto buttered board, spreading to 1/4-inch thickness. When cold break into pcs. Store in an airtight container.
