Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 to 6 1/2 ounce.) crab meat, liquid removed
  • 1 can (6 to 6 1/2 ounce.) water packed tuna, liquid removed
  • 2 hard cooked Large eggs, minced
  • 1 lg. apple, cored, unpared, coarsely minced
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. minced green pepper
  • 4 green onions, minced
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. curry pwdr
  • 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. half and half
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grnd black pepper
  • 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • Tomato wedges and watercress

Directions

  1. In large mixing bowl, fold together crab meat, tuna, Large eggs and apple. Heat butter in large skillet. Add in green pepper and onions. Saute/fry 2 min over medium heat. Stir in curry and flour till well blended. Slowly add in half and half and cook, stirring, till mix boils and thickens. Season with salt and black pepper. Pour over crab meat mix in bowl. Fold to blend well. Turn into buttered shallow au gratin dish or possibly into 4 individual dishes or possibly scallop shells.
  2. Blend crumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 min till crumbs are crisp and mix is heated through. Garnish with tomato wedges and watercress.
