Ingredients

  • 2 stk butter
  • 1 c. All-purpose flour
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. celery, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. mushrooms, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. of parsley, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. of green onions, finely minced
  • 1/2 c. of pimentos, finely minced
  • 2 lb of lump crab meat
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 x to 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce Salt and pepper, to taste Bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Heat butter in skillet over low heat. Add in flour and whisk together to make a roux. Cook roux, whisking constantly over low heat till golden.
  2. Add in lowfat milk, whisking constantly, till well blended.
  3. Add in celery and mushrooms, parsley, green onions and pimentos. Cook till vegetables are translucent/soft, then carefully fold-in crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
  4. Add in Worcestershire sauce, warm sauce, salt and pepper, to taste.
  5. Pour mix into individual baking dishes and top with bread crumbs.
  6. Bake at 350-degrees till bread crumbs are golden and mix is heated through.
