Ingredients

  • 1 c. liquid removed clam meat
  • 1 x egg
  • 2 slc bread
  • 1/3 c. minced celery
  • 1/3 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 tsp salt - (to 1/2)
  • 4 x hamburger buns Tomato slices as needed Pickle relish as needed Lettuce as needed

Directions

  1. If using fresh clams (e.g., razor clams, pinknecks, cockles), cook in water for several hrs till tender. Drain and remove all the meat.
  2. Blend meat and all remaining ingredients together in blender. Make into patties and fry in warm butter 'til brown on both sides.
  3. Serve on hamburger buns with tomato slices, pickle relish and lettuce.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
