%20and%20the%20husband%20worked%20late.%20When%20he%20got%20home%20the%20sauce%20had%20congealed%20a%20bit,%20as%20sauces%20likes%20to%20do.%20It%20was%20pretty%20thick%20and%20he%20was%20staring%20at%20it%20a%20bit%20worriedly%20as%20I%20told%20him%20what%20I%20had%20made%20for%20dinner.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%E2%80%9CIs%20that%20a%20wasabi%20sauce?%E2%80%9D%20he%20questioned%20me,%20pointing%20to%20the%20brown%20pan%20sauce%20I%20had%20next%20to%20the%20pork%20chops.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUm,%20no.%20I%20did%20not%20make%20a%20wasabi%20sauce%20for%20our%20pork%20chops%20for%20two%20reasons.%201)%20No%20one%20here%20likes%20wasabi%20and%202)%20just%20no.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20replied%20to%20him%20that%20no,%20it%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20wasabi,%20and%20besides,%20isn%E2%80%99t%20wasabi%20usually%20green?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAt%20which%20my%20point,%20my%20dear,%20sweet%20color%20blind%20(for%20real)%20husband%20replied,%20%E2%80%9COh.%20I%20thought%20it%20was%20green.%20Well,%20does%20it%20have%20peanut%20butter%20in%20it?%20It%20looks%20like%20peanut%20butter.%E2%80%9D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20told%20him%20what%20the%20sauce%20was%20made%20of%20and%20went%20on%20about%20my%20business%20when%20all%20of%20a%20sudden%20I%20was%20struck%20by%20what%20he%20had%20said.%20He%20thought%20the%20sauce%20was%20green.%20He%20thought%20the%20sauce%20looked%20like%20peanut%20butter.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E%E2%80%9CHusband,%E2%80%9D%20I%20asked,%20%E2%80%9Cwhat%20color%20do%20you%20think%20peanut%20butter%20is?%E2%80%9D%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20guys.%20That%20man%20has%20spent%2033%20years%20thinking%20that%20peanut%20butter%20was%20green.%20Just%20imagine%20what%20his%20PB&Js%20look%20like%20to%20him.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%E2%80%99m%20used%20to%20him%20mistaking%20colors%20or%20asking%20me%20if%20his%20clothes%20match%20(they%20usually%20do%20not),%20but%20he%E2%80%99s%20always%20known%20that%20he%20was%20wrong%20about%20the%20colors.%20%20Grass%20looks%20brown%20to%20him,%20but%20he%20knows%20it%E2%80%99s%20actually%20green.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20just%20really,%20truly%20believed%20that%20peanut%20butter%20was%20green.%20Naturally,%20I%20will%20never%20stop%20teasing%20him%20about%20this.%20I%20mean,%20it%E2%80%99s%20so%20sweet%20and%20pitiful%20all%20at%20once.%20The%20poor%20guy.%20I%20just%20want%20to%20hug%20him%20sometimes.%20Usually%20when%20he%20comes%20out%20of%20the%20bedroom%20dressed%20in%20mismatched%20clothes%20for%20work.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnyway,%20this%20discovery%20led%20to%20another%20discovery%E2%80%A6he%20also%20thought%20that%20chocolate%20chip%20cookies%20were%20green.%20Green%20cookies!%20My%20husband%20is%20such%20a%20goof.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd,%20so%20I%20would%20just%20like%20to%20tell%20you%20that%20these%20rich,%20buttery%20shortbread%20cookies%20are%20not%20green,%20ok?%20We%20love%20these%20cookies.%20Unlike%20a%20traditional%20chewy%20chocolate%20chip%20cookie,%20these%20aren%E2%80%99t%20overly%20sweet%20and%20have%20a%20bit%20more%20of%20a%20crunch%20to%20them.%20They%E2%80%99re%20just%20a%20really%20nice%20change%20from%20the%20standard%20chocolate%20chip%20cookie%20and%20the%20recipe%20is%20only%204%20ingredients,%20all%20of%20which%20you%20most%20likely%20have%20on%20hand%20right%20this%20minute.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKitchenaid%20Stand%20Mixer%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20you%E2%80%99re%20waiting%20to%20find%20out%20the%20winner%20of%20one%20of%20those%20gorgeous%20mixers%20pictured%20up%20there,%20why%20not%20whip%20up%20some%20of%20these%20cookies?%20They%E2%80%99re%20delish!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20the%20bowl%20of%20a%20stand%20mixer,%20cream%20together%20the%20butter%20and%20sugar%20until%20light%20and%20fluffy.%20Beat%20in%20the%20flour.%20Stir%20in%20the%20chocolate%20chips.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EScoop%20the%20dough%20out%20onto%20a%20large%20sheet%20of%20plastic%20wrap.%20Use%20the%20wrap%20to%20shape%20into%20a%20log%20about%2010%20inches%20long%20and%202-3%20inches%20thick.%20Seal%20the%20ends%20and%20place%20in%20the%20refrigerator%20for%20at%20least%2030%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20325%20degrees.%20Line%20a%20baking%20sheet%20with%20parchment%20paper.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERemove%20the%20log%20of%20dough%20from%20the%20fridge%20and%20unwrap%20the%20plastic%20wrap.%20Use%20a%20sharp%20knife%20to%20slice%20the%20dough%20into%20rounds%20about%201/4%20inch%20thick.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20for%2013%20minutes%20or%20until%20the%20edges%20are%20lightly%20browned.%20Cool%20completely%20before%20serving.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELots%20more%20cookies%20where%20those%20come%20from!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGraham%20Cracker%20Cookies%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBrowned%20Butter%20Oatmeal%20Cookie%20Cups%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDark%20Chocolate%20Cookie%20Bars%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESalted%20Caramel%20Cookie%20Cups%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon%E2%80%99t%20miss%20a%20post!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStay%20Connected:%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
