Ingredients

  • 3 lb Short ribs
  • 1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 2 x Cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp Chili pwdr
  • 15 ounce Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 x Onion
  • 32 ounce Red kidney beans

Directions

  1. Brown ribs in warm oil. Remove, drain all but 1 tsp fat. Add in minced garlic, lightly brown in oil. Add in chili pwdr, tomato sauce, bring to simmer.
  2. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper put in crockpot. Add in sauce and sliced onion. Cover and slow cook 6 to 8 hrs on low. Remove bones from pot, add in kidney beans, cover and cook on high 1 hour.
  3. Serve with cornbread.
