Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 x Bermuda onion, sliced 1-inch thick
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper, freshly grnd
  • 1/4 c. Beef broth, canned or possibly homemade
  • 1/4 c. Bourbon

Directions

  1. Heat butter and oil. Add in onions and sear on high for 2 min. Add in salt, pepper and broth. Reduce heat and simmer 10 to 12 min. Add in bourbon and cook down for 3 min.
  2. Serving Ideas : Perfect accompaniment for roast beef
  3. NOTES : I traditionally serve prime rib for Christmas. This is a perfect accompaniment.
