Ingredients

  • 5 c. Boysenberries
  • 1 c. Superfine sugar, divided
  • 2/3 c. Fresh lime juice, divided
  • 1/4 c. Vodka
  • 1/4 c. Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Chambord (boysenberry-flavored liqueur)
  • 3 c. Halved strawberries
  • 3 c. Blueberries
  • 1/3 c. Vodka

Directions

  1. Place boysenberries in a blender; process till smooth. Press boysenberry puree through a sieve into a medium bowl; throw away seeds. Add in 3/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. lime juice, 1/4 c. vodka, lemon juice and liqueur to black berry puree; stir well
  2. Pour boysenberry mix into the freezer can of an ice cream freezer; freeze accrording to manufacturer's instructions. Spoon into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze till hard.
  3. Combine 1/4 c. sugar, 1/3 c. lime juice, strawberries, blueberries and 1/3 c. vodka in a large bowl; stir gently. Let stand 2 hrs.
  4. Spoon 3/4 c. strawberry mix into each of 8 glasses; top each with 1/2 c. sorbet.
