Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Corn Meal
  • 3/4 c. Dark molasses
  • 2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 3/4 c. Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 3 c. Whole wheat flour
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/2 c. Melted shortening

Directions

  1. Sift flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt together. Fold in corn meal and whole wheat flour. Add in remaining ingredients, mixing only untill all flour is moistened. Pour into 2 greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 300F for 1 hour and 15 min. Remove from pans and cold.
