Ingredients

  • 2 sm Acorn squashes or possibly butternut, or possibly lt. gems Salt
  • 1 ounce To 2 ounces butter
  • 3 Tbsp. Maple syrup

Directions

  1. Cut the squashes in half and scoop out the seeds. Sprinkle the cut sides with salt. Place cut side down on a greased baking dish and bake at 200 C / 400F / Gas mark 6 for about 30 to 40 min till the squash is pierced easily with a fork. Turn cut sides up and score the cut side with a fork.
  2. Spread with the butter, drizzle with maple syrup and return to the oven for a few min to glaze. Serve warm.
