Baked Shrimp Toast

These are great. I hated how greasy shrimp toast is in the restaurants but these are not greasy and have a great flavor

Ingredients

  • 3-4 slices buttered bread
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons water chestnuts
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2-3 shakes cayenne
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sherry
  • 1/2 pound raw shrimp shelled and deveined

Directions

  1. Pulse ingredients in food processor until mixed.
  2. Add egg and sherry
  3. Pulse until the egg white foams about 5 seconds
  4. Add shrimp. pulse until pasty.
  5. Spread onto buttered bread slices on both sides.
  6. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
