Baby Carrots With Ginger And Sage Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Baby carrots - scrubbed clean
  • 1/2 c. Unsalted butter - one stick
  • 5 1/2 Tbsp. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/2 x Lemon - juiced
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 x Clove garlic - mashed
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh sage - minced Or possibly 1 tsp. dry sage

Directions

  1. Poach carrots in simmering water or possibly chicken broth till just tender. Drain.
  2. Heat butter and add in brown sugar, ginger, lemon juice, salt, garlic and sage; then add in carrots and gently saute/fry 2 to 3 min to blend flavors.
