Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 c. butter or possibly margarine softened
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. uncooked oats
  • 1 c. raspberry jam

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 . Grease a 13x9-inch baking dish. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together, using an electric mixer, till fluffy. Stir in flour mix, then oats. Mix will be somewhat crumbly. Press 2/3 of the mix over bottom of baking pan. Carefully spread jam proportionately over crust to within 1/2-inch of edge. Distribute remaining crumb mix over top and press lightly to create a hard crust. Bake for 20 min, till browned. Cold completely; cut into bars.
